On January 15, 2021, Laney very peacefully passed away at Christchurch Hospital with her family at her side. Dearly loved wife and companion of the late Hans and the late Kees. Loved mother of John (Christchurch), Peter (Nelson), and Martin and Johanna (Lincoln), loved and respected stepmother of Karen and Robbie Burns (Wellington), and Joanna and Phil Brough (Sheffield, England). Loved and adored Oma to her grandchildren Marieke, Ross, Georgia, Daniel, Jocelyn and Dan, Nicholas and Milly, Theresa, Johannes, Nicola and Connor.

Donations to the Stroke Foundation NZ can be made online at www.stroke.org.nz A Funeral Service will be celebrated at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Gerald Street, Lincoln, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2.00pm. The interment will be carried out at the Oamaru Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 commencing at 2.00pm. Everybody welcome.
