On Sunday, June 8, 2025, peacefully at Nazareth House, aged 81 years. Loved daughter of the late Jonathan and Flo, oldest sister of Marie, Raewyn (both deceased), and Greg, sister-in-law of Raewyn, aunty of Tania, Craig, Daniel, Simon, and Jonathan, and great-aunty. A special thanks to the staff of Nazareth House for their care of Heather. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Heather Cartmell, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Nazareth House Chapel, 220 Brougham Street, on Thursday, June 12, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

I knew Heather back in the early 70´s when she arrived at our scout headquarters in Croydon (Greater London) UK. She said - good day. My name is Heather and I´m here to help you. She joined our cub pack as assistant Cub Scout leader of the 28th Croydon, and later became a wonderful Akela. She will be missed by many. May her gentle soul rest in peace . Marie
