5.10.1926 - 28.07.2024

Passed peacefully at Christchurch Hospital surrounded by his family after a short illness, aged 97 years. Much loved husband of the late Edna. Much loved Father and Father-in-law of Graham and Wanda, David and Joanne, Jude, Diane and Jason. A special Grandad and Great-Grandad to all his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly. As per Harry's wishes a private family celebration will be held at a later date. Thank you to the staff at St Allisa and Christchurch Hospital for their loving care of our Harry. Dear family of Harry Peters,
Herewith I send you my heartfelt condolences for Harry PETERS. I know Harry from the stories of my uncle Harry Goris who was born and raised in Duiven, and in later life emigrated to the south of France with his wife Toos and sons William and Reino. Personally, I did not know Harry, but I edit a manuscript travel stories of Harry Goris and in it he writes about Harry's ostriches.

You slipped away so peacefully with us all by your side. We will cherish all the memories and miss your cheeky sense of humour. We were so lucky to have you around for so long. You didn't get your letter from the King, but you were so incredibly close.
