Well Harold the edges of the circle have joined together. You gave it your best shot as was your way for 82 years. I have memories of you driving me to locate the trade polytech in my first year as an apprentice carpenter and staying with you, Aunty Bet and Bonnie back in 1960. Great to catch up again during our "cousins lunch days. Rest easy mate. David Gowans

Dear Uncle Harold, what a lovely, gentle, brave man you were especially towards the end.

Always there if anyone needed a hand, a master builder craftsman, supportive member of our family, a close respected friend of dad for 77 years, quiet, dependable and a wonderful sense of humour with a glint in the eye and a ready smile,

I have such fond memories as a child curling up with your much loved but prided childhood bear and sleeping in yours and Aunt Do's bed when mum and dad stayed late visiting.

I shall miss your presence in my world.

What is an horizon but the limit of our sight

Much love and to Aunt Do ... many hugs, i'm here if you need me as Uncle Harry would have wished that also.

Your consistent support and reliability was amazing. I especially loved the worst Dad jokes you could find, still using turn left! Thanks Dad for sharing so much, particularly over all the time we spent together in your last weeks. It was a privilege as your daughter to do my best for you and give you comfort for as long as I could.
