Harmen MOOT Obituary

MOOT, Harmen Jan (Harry):
9 March 1931 -
3 February 2021
It is with great sadness we announce that Harmen passed suddenly while in respite care at Middlepark Rest Home. He will be sorely missed by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Antje (Annie), his family Tony, Marianne (deceased), Peter and Dhara, Anita, Caroline and Tony, and Harold, his grandchildren and their partners, Annamarie and Kwesi, Helena and Keiran, Hannah and Daniel, Rebecca, Jonathan (deceased), Roy, Joel, Jasper, and Oliver, and great-grandchildren Hunter, Tai, and Saraya Rose; and Harvey, and not forgetting his many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. The family acknowledges the outstanding care and support provided by Nurse Maude support staff, Jo and Felicity of Home Assistance for Seniors, especially their staff Jo, Sue (retired), Angela, and Glenice. A very big thank you to the staff at Middlepark who looked after dad so well in the short time he was with them. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Harmen Moot, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545, or email, [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dementia Canterbury may be made at the service. A Celebration of Harmen's life will be held in the Reformed Church of Christchurch, 61 Cornwall Street, St Albans, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 11.00am, followed by a time of sharing and console with light refreshments. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery for immediate family and friends.
