On May 30, 2022, aged 91 years, passed away at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Barbara, adored dad of Hal and Lee, and loved father-in-law of Ian and the late Susan, treasured grandad and great-grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kaumatua ki Pikihuia me Pita. Loved and greatly respected by many. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Hapi October, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In accordance with Hapi's wishes, a private family gathering has been held.
