Gwennyth HEFFERNAN Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2023, aged 79 years. Dearly loved wife of John for 53 years, loved mother and mother-in-law of Greg (deceased), Barry and Emma, and Jane, devoted Nana of Tom, and Sarah. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Bett and the late Ross McClelland, the late Daphne and Ernest Beaton, Margaret and the late Gerald Patterson, Jeanette (deceased) and Colin Davies, John and Janet Reese, Alan and Merle and the late Yvonne Reese, Peter and Ruth Reese, Bev and Noel Alexander, the late Geoffrey Reese, and a much loved aunt of her many nieces and nephews. 'A much loved nurse, caregiver, and friend to many' Special thanks to those who have provided care, support, and friendship throughout Gwen's journey. She will be sadly missed by all. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Gwen Heffernan, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to Malvern Health and Community Welfare Trust would be appreciated, and may be made to account 03-1583-0028172-00. A Service to celebrate Gwen's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside on Wednesday, July 19, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Deepest Sympathy John & family.
Gwennyth was a really genuine person, always willing t help others. We remember you all back in 1970´s on the sideline at rugby in Darfield when we lived there & the after match functions. Also Gwennyth was originally from Sedgmere/Southbridge area where we both grew up.Lovely memories of a special lady.
