Greta ARRILLAGA Obituary

Our beloved Mum and Oma passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was the much-adored mother of John, Michael, and Maria; mother-in-law of Diana, and Dave; and grandmother of Louis, Rosie, Charlie, and Margaret. We're very sad to say goodbye to this cherished and wonderful lady, but there is also a sense of peace. She lived a good life, was loved by many, but was ready to move on. We're happy that she will now be reunited with our sister, Liz, and our Dad, Josu. She was a very kind-hearted, sweet, and sensitive soul and these are some of the many things that people loved so much about her. Mum – thanks for all your love, and we love you so much in return. We will miss you always, but we're glad that you're now free again and onto the next big adventure.

I am so sorry for your loss. I used to do Gretas housework each fortnight. A wonderful lady. Rest in Peace, Greta. My life is so much richer for knowing you

I cut Gretas hair for many years she was such a lovey person. She loved her family and grandchildren so much and always filled me in on how well they were doing and how proud she was, they all meant everything to her . I always looked forward to seeing her and having a chat . Very sad to hear she has passed . Rest in peace Greta.

I was not in Christchurch when dear Greta died. Sister Clare and I went to visit her about two months ago but she was not at home. She was a dearly loved member of our parish. Rest in peace dear Greta. Condolences to all the family. Sister Kathleen
