Gregory VARTHA Obituary

Dear Sharyn, we are so sorry to have been away and miss the service for Greg. Our association with the two of you has been short, only since you started attending the local Prostate Cancer Support Group. This was not a particularly good avenue to be making new friends. You have both been very much on our minds, and in our prayers since then. I am grateful to have had time with Greg not so long ago, and share his model train layout. We extend our sympathy to you and the boys. Trusting that we can be there for you in the future too.

To Greg's family, I am so sorry to hear about Greg's passing. He was a fantastic coach when my son Josh Matthews played for Waimak FC 10 years ago. Callum was in the team as well. After my son stopped playing football, Greg and I would often end up on the same bus home from work in the evenings, and we always had a good catch up. He was truly one of life's true gentlemen, and I am so very sorry for his loss. Thanks Greg for all you did mentoring my boy when he possibly needed it, and for the chats on the bus! RIP
