Nicki,Bernice,Deidre,Creighton and Mickala? What can I say I am dumbstruck, only just heard the sad news. All those great memories growing up in our silly years and the fun we had. I just wish I'd made the effort to catch up after the years apart even though I thought of how you guys were getting on with bringing up a family and runnining the chooks often. Things in this world are just not fair and this just goes to show it. The photo of him on the boat with Blandy somes it all up.It will be another of lifes regrets not being at Gregs send off at least I have a hundred fond memories and laughs I can fall back on, camping, duckshooting, hunting, school (like the time we were having lunch on some steps up to the balcony at Boys High when one of us didn't like the taste of the soup our mums had given us and threw if over the side only to hear the old grumpy Maths teacher Doc Coppins yell out from down below "who the hell threw that".)Our thoughts are with you all Love Kelvin Lynda Jason and Melissa.

To dear Nicky
So sorry to hear of your loss. I have fond memories of our young days when you first met your Gregory. Those early Sunday morning trips to Fairlie in your little Datsun, speeding down there to spend the day with Greg. I remember how much you adored him. Take care.

I can still remember Greg and Deirdre wandering around the school-house when attending Weedons School. Greg's endless generosity and love described so often in previous messages here, was how I remember you and Russel at Weedons. God bless always, Marg Manion.

I met Tubby quite a few years ago when brother Jeff took me to meet his mate. He met me at the door with a beer "I hear you like crays" he says. And proceeded to knock out home-made Lobster Thermodor on his BBQ. Not just one, not just two, not just... (there were oodles!) and they were superb, the man could cook. He sent me home with a doggy bag to Huntly. Tubby was generous to a T. Great memories - boating memories, food memories, it was a pleasure to have met you. Cheers Ted.

To Nicky, Michaela & Creighton, I send my love and condolences to you at such a tragic time. I have wonderful memories of Mr D taking me for a walk around the sheds, on the boat when the cruise ship was in at Akaroa, waving at the passengers the music on the boat up loud all singing and laughing and drinking too of course. You couldn't help but have a great time Greg made sure everyone was well looked after he loved a good time. He will be so missed by so many.

I got to experience several fishing trips with Tubby and friends. He is one of the great characters that typify rural New Zealand. A hard-working man with a real sense of fun. He'll be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. More tea, Vicar!!

Tubby was always a pleasure to be in his company. I remember the time taking a jet boat ride up the Waimak and he ended up in the water up to his chest. But in true Tubby style it was all washed down with a box of DB. I cherish that memory, and hope that it can bring a smile to your face even in this time of sorrow.
Think of you all in this time of sorrow.

The best mate a friend could ever have. Always smiling and wanting to offer a helping hand. I will miss the mischief we get up to when we're together. Our lives will be forever changed with u not in it. My family was honoured to be part of yours. We sat around your fire last nite, u be proud of Creighton he can have it roaring like u. I hope you know that u were truly loved and respected by all who knew u.
