In 1971 I was host of the NZBC´s All Night National Program and Grant was frequently the technician in the Master Control Room of Broadcast House in Bowen Street, Wellington. During that 12 months, Grant and I developed a firm friendship and even engaged in a little "Pete & Dud" repartee on air. In March 2022, we reconnected via LinkedIn after the passage of 40 some years and had planned to meet for a long overdue catch up on the Friday morning he died. He actually sent me a text message at 8:47 the night before saying how much he was looking forward to our reunion

I was so sad to read of Grant's sudden passing. I had not seen him for a long time but I will always remember how kind he was to me when we worked at ZB. My deepest sympathy to you Lois, Shannon and Hayley.
May you rest peacefully,Grant.
