Graeme PARKIN Obituary

PARKIN, Graeme John:
On February 27, 2023, at his long-term home in Ilam, our beloved Graeme died peacefully with his much-loved sister and his two daughters at his side. A cheerful and ever-grateful man, with a passion for music and icecream, he accepted his illness of 30 years with dignity and grace. The family can not thank enough all the amazing staff at Arvida Ilam, nor his GP, Dr Kathryn Hunt, for their aroha, care, and dedication. Loved father to Lianne and Amanda Parkin, loved and respected father-in-law of Ian Tennant, and cherished grandfather of James Tennant. Loved brother of Hilary Boal and the late Bob. Loved brother-in-law of Lorraine and Les, Lenore and Noel, Nigel and Jennie, Glenis and the late Neil, and Gavin and Sally. Loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Messages to the Parkin family, c/o PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. A service will be held at St David's Ellesmere Co-operating Church, 75 High Street, Leeston, on Friday, March 3, at 1.00pm. The service will be followed by a committal at Ellesmere Public Cemetery.
