Gordon SPARROW Obituary
Peacefully after a short illness, on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Burwood Hospital, Christchurch. In his 92nd year. Dearly loved husband of Anne. Much loved father and father-in-law of Malcolm and Karen Sparrow, Raewyn and Graham Henry, Brian and Jamie Sparrow, Christine and Murray Edgar. Dearly loved Pa of his 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the wonderful, caring nurses, doctors and Allied Health staff at Ward DG, Burwood Hospital. A memorial service to celebrate Gordon's life will be held at Opawa Baptist Church, Wilsons Road, on Monday, March 12, at 1.00pm.
At home with the Lord he loved and faithfully served.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ethnos New Zealand (formerly New Tribes Mission) would be much appreciated.

I remember Gordon as a wonderful Family man and an awesome example of a faithful Godly man. A wonderful witness to the many lives he touched throughout his long life.

I thank God for Gordon's life and witness, and especially his passion for reaching children for Christ. What an example of faithfulness. Although absent from Christchurch for many years, yet when we did meet Gordon always took an interest and gave encouragement. My thoughts and prayers are with Anne and the family.
