So sad to hear of Gordon's passing. I always enjoyed our conversations and admired his knowledge of the New Zealand outdoors and his love of remote places. Gordon's photographic legacy is testament to a person with empathy and insight and who was in sync with the natural world. Gordon, may your spirit rest in the landscapes that were the living rooms of your life.

Gordon was understanding of the natural world and a gentleman of the mountains without peer. I was fortunate to have known him as a younger hunter and admire him as a friend. Goodbye my friend. Tony Newton

Im very sad to hear of Gordon's passing, the past ten years we had some great conversations over the phone regarding his times as a deer culler and photographer. He knew my uncle Frank Erceg, and that was always very special to me. I will miss Gordon very much and our phone calls. My condolences to the family.

I was so sad to hear of Gordon's death - he was one of life's real gentlemen and had a big influence on me when I hunted with him in my youth. His memories became our memories through his pictures and they will always be with us even if he is not. My most sincere condolences to all the family.

To the Roberts Family,
It is with sadness to hear of the passing of Gordy. Although I now live in Chch, I was Gordy's neighbour at Stuart-Chapman Dr and did some work around his yard in a digger, and enjoyed many a yarn. Your Dad gave me one of his wildlife photography books, which I was always treasure. Truly sorry for your loss.
Regards Tony Howe
