BARBEREL,
Gillian Stewart (Gill):
Peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice, after a short but brave battle against cancer, on Thursday, December 1, 2016, aged 69. Dearly loved and beautiful wife of Julian (Jules), most treasured and caring mother of Miles and Sarah, adored and devoted nana of William, beloved soulmate of Gaynor and special person to Blair. The family wishes to take this opportunity to thank all the professionals at both Christchurch and Nurse Maude Hospitals, who treated Gill with every dignity, kindness and compassion in their efforts to comfort her. A special mention of gratitude is extended to Doctor Penelope Day, who only knew Gill for a brief time but gave outstanding support and sympathy to us all. We are relieved that Gill is no longer suffering and earnestly hope she is now in a better place. A Funeral Service and Farewell Celebration for Gill will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside on Tuesday, December 13 at 2.00pm.
