Chapman Family,
We were so sad to hear the news of Gilberts passing.
Gilbert will be remembered by us as one of NZs, "Salt of the Earth", good blokes, a tradesman, family man and good community member.
Some of my earliest childhood memories include times spent with Jan and Gilbert, Alice and Gordon Chapman.
As our nearest neighbours, in Colgate, around the late 1950s early 60s, the kindness shown to us when our house burn't down will never be forgotten.
Thanks for the memories, they were some of the best.
We send kind thoughts to you all from,
Barbara Clark, Paul Clark and all the Clark family.

Dad
Thanks for the years you gave us.
The happy times we shared
The love and all you did for us
And the loving way you cared.
Although we cannot hear your voice
Or see your smiling face.
We have your memories in our hearts
In a very special place.
Love you now and forever dad
Noel, Pam, Ben and Wade
