I had the privilege of working with Gerard when he was the PGG Seeds Australian Manager. PGG Seeds were suppliers of seeds to a local Ballarat seed distributor Stephen pasture Seeds who I have worked with over many years.
He was a true gentleman and very quick witted. I have many fond memories of Gerard's humour especially during our NZ Study Tours where Gerard was the guide and bus driver extraordinaire. He escorted hundreds of Australian agronomists over many years.
To this day many of the attendees still fondly remember Gerard and the tours. Gerard was a major contributor to the success of proprietary marketing of pasture seed in Australia. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him here in Australia. Sending my deepest sympathies to Marie and family, friends and his treasured work collegues .

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Gerard, and send my condolences to the family, and thoughts at the time of your sad loss
I worked with Gerard at PGG Limited and had a great friendship which I really valued. Gered was an extremely hard worker, great seedsman, trusted colleague, brilliant fun to be with a wry sense of humour and a great friend. He'll be sorely missed. I'm sorry I can't be at the sendoff, but I know it will be a brilliant memory of Gerard. Again, sincere condolences.

The good man, Gerard Lysaght! A formidable, driven, sensitive, faithful and jovial character. He loved my Mum, Marie with everything he had and provided for our family in every way possible. Thank you, Dad!

I was proud to be your son, Dad! Thank you for loving Mum, me and my brother and then our wives and your grandchildren. We all miss you already. May you arrive home and be greeted with open arms.

Eternal rest grant unto Gerard, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen
