Gerard GRAHAM Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Burwood Hospital on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the day before his 94th birthday. Dearly loved husband of the late June. Loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Karen, Sue and Ian, Sally and Murray, David and Juliet, Catherine and Tim, and Andy and Karen. A much-loved grandfather and great grandfather to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thanks to all the staff at Burwood Hospital and Radius Hawthorne for their exceptional care of Gerry. Flowers respectfully declined. Messages to the Graham family, C/- 19 London Street, Richmond, Christchurch 8013. A Funeral Mass for Gerry will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, 106 Main South Road, Sockburn, Christchurch, on Thursday, November 23, at 11.00am, followed by burial at the Avonhead Memorial Cemetery, Hawthornden Road. Rosary at the Church, on Wednesday, November 22, at 7.00pm.

Gerry was a Rep when we were in Hospitality in the 1980s onwards.
He was always fun and laughter when he came into the Bar or later Harringtons Brewery
Loved a chat on the Phone before we moved to Nelson.

Outwardly, Gerry always appeared bright and breezy, but there was also a very serious side to him. In our very many chats together, he always spoke of his family in such loving and proud terms. I know they will miss him - as indeed also will I miss him - a very true and genuine friend. John Darby
