Gerald O'FLAHERTY Obituary

17.12.1930 - 09.10.2023 Passed away peacefully at Nazareth House, Christchurch, on Monday, October 9, 2023 aged 92 years. Loved husband of the late Clair O'Flaherty. Loved youngest son of the late Ellen and Francis O'Flaherty (Reefton) and twin brother of the late Esmond. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Noreen and Hugh Donnelly, Paddy and Connie O'Flaherty, Moira and Keith Archer, Aileen and Jack Allen, Noeline MacDougall, Jack and Joan O'Flaherty, Joan and Bob McKenzie, Monica and Albert Topp, Nell and Bill Day (all deceased). A loved uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Sincere thanks to all the staff of Nazareth House where Gerald has lived for the last three years in a wonderful and caring environment. Gerald's family would like to acknowledge and thank Peter, Sandra and their family for all their support of Gerald over the years. A Requiem Mass for Gerald will be celebrated at Nazareth House Chapel, 220 Brougham Street, Christchurch, on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Ruru Road, Bromley.
