On September 3, 2021, in his 93rd year, peacefully at Windsorcare, Christchurch. Dearly loved and loving husband of the late Marian. Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Murray and Susan (Wellington), Neville and the late Yvonne, and Ian and Noris (Lower Hutt). Loved, admired and proud grandfather of James; Paul, Rebekah and Philip, and Michael and Sarah; and Adam and Lloyd, and adored great-grandfather of Luke, Hamish, Annabel and Lucy; and Olivia and George. George was a dedicated member of St John with a lifetime of service. The family would like to thank Windsorcare for their kindness over the past nearly seven years, and also Nurse Maude Canterbury for their more recent support. A private funeral service will be held, followed by a memorial service to celebrate George's life, at a later date if Covid restrictions permit.
