I'm the daughter of Sandy Toa. I remember you growing up when my nana Mac was alive. You were always friendly and cheerful. I would bump into you randomly in the city centre and remind you how we knew each other. It's sad to know you aren't with us anymore but I know you'll be happy wherever you are xo Sleep well George

A message from David Halligan
Have a good time with your musician buddies up in Heaven. You´re an Angel now and walking with God.
Remembering you from St John´s Community Linch and visiting you at The Palms Hospital

George, Ive known you since I was about 8 years old when I hung out with my mum her partner Cyril and their band. We had so many fun times, I was the kid that hung out with all the Adults.
One particular day you helping me catch so many rock lizards at Lake Sumner to take home and keep as pets. The music was magic with your Saw, tin whistles, harmonica and spoons. Cyril played Piano- accordion, Tom on Violin and Vocals chimed in by all and their partners. We have remained in contact through out our lives and I would love our little catch ups and to k ow you were the last of the line.
You would ring me up while on the bus to visit your Sister in Rangiora. Just to say, I´m just passing by Kaiapoi and we´d have a good ole yak.
I only got to visit the one time at The Palms with your special bread and I´m so so sorry I didn´t get to say goodbye. We´ll meet again some sunny day as the song says
Thank you for being such a kind man and sharing your love of music with us all.
I was showing Neville Wilkins our photo today taken of you holding a microphone and me singing and playing a ukulele.
Sleep well and be at Peace my dear friend.
Love you George, God Bless
You will be missed and thought of often.
PS I´ll find out where you are at RuRu Lawn next time I visit my Mum
