Nigel died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on February 24, 2026, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Elizabeth; beloved father of Fiona, Karen, David, Ailsa, Ruth, Johnnie and Thomas; much loved father-in-law of John, Andrew, Suzette, Paul, Mike, Catherine and Katie; cherished grandfather of Rowan, Ella, Lachlan, Daniel, Will, Jonty, Amelia, Liam, Madeleine, Sam and Joe. Heartfelt thanks to the palliative care and medical teams whose compassionate support eased the journey for us all. Messages to be addressed to the family of the late Nigel Humphries, c/- Hope Funerals Christchurch, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042. The funeral service will be held at Life Church La Vida, 34a Hansons Lane, Upper Riccarton, on Wednesday, March 4, at 2.00pm.
