Geoffrey McLaren (Geoff):
At Christchurch Hospital on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved and treasured husband of Sandra Wright-Taylor, and much loved father of Andrew, Catherine, and Charlotte. Much loved son of Jack and Mary (both deceased), and son-in-law of Doug (deceased) and Margaret. Respected brother of Robert (deceased), and John. Messages to PO Box 5659, Papanui, Christchurch 8542. Donations to the Patients Comfort Fund, Ward 26 would be appreciated and may be left at the service. We will be celebrating Geoff's life at a service to be held at St Mark's Presbyterian Church, 150 Withells Road, on Monday, October 20, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation.

I am so sorry to hear of Geoff's death. I worked with Geoff as a contractor when he was at TL Jones and got to know him very well. A consummate professional who worked very effectively for his employer. A loving father and Husband who spoke with great affection of his family. I reconnected with him several times since and spent a wonderful hour with him after his terminal diagnosis. His courage, humour and concern for others during that meeting will remain an inspiration to me forever. It was a privilege to know him and he will be sadly missed
