Geoffrey BACON Obituary

On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, aged 76 years. Beloved partner of Marie, father of Christopher, and Daniel, loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, especially of Matt and Maree, and Alex (Christchurch). Loved brother of Nora, the late Mary, and Peter. Adored by Floyd, Walter, and Milo. Loved friend of many. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Paul Bacon, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Donations in memory of Paul would be appreciated, to any animal charity of your choice. A funeral service to celebrate Paul's life will be held at Christchurch Crematorium Chapel, 65 Vickery's Road, Wigram, on Thursday, April 3, at 1.00pm. This will be followed by afternoon tea at Woolston Lodge Rooms, 538 Ferry Road, Woolston, at 3.00pm. If you wish to bring a plate to share, it would be appreciated. My condolences Marie. I remember Paul fondly as a fellow old boy of Francis Douglas College then as a flatmate in Wellington days. We had some interesting times! Later I enjoyed the reconnection in Christchurch when I would see him after my board meetings at St Bede´s College after flights fligh from Wellington in the early 2000s.
