Gaynor McKENDRY Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gay on Saturday, November 22, 2025, following a sudden medical event on Monday, November 17. Beloved wife of Don, and cherished mother and mother-in-law to Richard, Susan and Damian. A devoted and loving Nana to Max, Samantha, Hugh and Archie, and a proud Great-Nana to Leo. Gay was a selfless woman whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched every life she encountered. Our hearts are simply broken, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void. Honouring Gay's wishes, there will be no funeral, and she will be remembered quietly and lovingly by those closest to her.

"The day which we fear as our last, is but the birthday of eternity."

She was such a kind, caring and thoughtful lady. A dear friend to my late parents, Betty and Terry Downey. And also a great support and comfort to me during my father's later years.

We remember Gay as our dear bowling friend of many years. She was the kindest of people, and in latter years has been consistent in keeping our old bowling friends in touch with each other .. organising a monthly lunch for the ladies to meet up and enjoy each others company. She and Don have also continued to make an occasional foray to the club so that he too could keep in contact with his friends there.
Our thoughts are with her loved ones as we remember her.
