Gaynor LE COMTE Obituary

Gaynor passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends, on Thursday evening, March 26, 2026. Gaynor was born in Nightcaps to Robert (Sonny) Townley and Joyce Hooper. Dearly loved wife of the late Jimmy. Treasured mother of Paul, David and Lousie. Mother-in-law to Janine, Ciara and Daniel. Grandmother of Jonah, Manessah, Yolande, Jamie and Charlie. Great-grandmother to Valiant and Banks. Sister of the late Kyra and Warren. Friend to many and devoted member of the New Zealand Cliff Richard community. Mum will be missed, but her love and family, carry her memory.

Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Gaynor's Memorial Service will be held in St Chad's Church, on the corner of Carnarvon Street and Buckleys Road, Linwood, on April 2, 2026, at 1.00pm.

you have been the best friend ever. every night we would chat. id ring and make sure you had all you needed. i few times id order whatever online and have it delivered to you. we had many laughs. if you needed me you would message and say please ring me.
i am going to miss you so much. we have had many years of friendship. the one person I could share with. we set the world to rights.
i loved you so so much..
rest my precious friend. I'm sad I'm pleased we still spoke while you were in hospital. I'm just sad I never knew you had left us. i did all I could while you were here
