Chris and family, I was in the Home Economics department at Avonside GHS when Gay was HOD.
My daughter is your age so we shared many experiences of early child management.
Gay was very helpful in developing my teaching experience and a great support when I most needed a friend during some times of my home life.
My thoughts are with you as you adjust to life without her.
Regards, Anne Thorpe.

Gaynor and Gordon were our next door neighbours on Mt Pleasant for over 30 years. They were our good friends and our children grew up together. I still have the cotton sunhat she made me and the children remember the dressing up clothes she gave them. We are grateful for her support and friendship.

Our deepest condolences to Gaynors family. Gaynor was a neighbour and friend when we lived in Motueka. She taught me to play Mahjong. We also had long conversations on her favour topic, fashion. She will be missed

Gaynor was a real laugh as she taught me how to play Mahjong, which I play 2 to 3 times a week , think of her often when I play.
