Gavin BARCLAY Obituary
On Friday, August 21, 2020, suddenly at Christchurch Hospital; aged 80 years. Loved husband of Faye, loved father and father-in-law of Geoff and Bridget, and Scott and partner Amanda Brennan. Loving grandfather of Tom, Joesph, Kate, Gina, and Finn. The family wish to acknowledge the care given to Gavin by the Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John can be made at the service or online at bit.ly/gjbarclay2108. Messages to the Barclay family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. A Funeral Service for Gavin will be held in the Bayliss Lounge, Lincoln Events Centre, 15 Meijer Drive, Lincoln, on Friday, August 28, at 2.00pm. The current Covid-19 100 people restriction will apply and those attending will be by invite only. Deepest sympathy to Gav's family. As a long time member of the Lincoln Cricket Club, and our current Patron, Gav was a top club man. He always showed a genuine interest in how teams were going and players young and old were progressing. He'll be missed by all. RIP Gav.

Gavin , sad to hear of your passing , you were only in for a cuppa a couple of weeks ago.I will miss our great conversations.Loved the days when you, me and Les Ellis sat around the workshop tea trolley having a laugh and fixing the worlds wrongs.

I have many fond memories of Gavin. Awesome times Whitebaiting and rugby. Thursday nights at The Grouse. He was always interested in what people were up to.
