Gary THOMPSON Obituary

Passed peacefully at Holmdene, surrounded by family, on November 5, 2023; Husband and friend of Maureen, loved Dad of Dwayne and Belinda, and Brett, loved grandad and friend of Scott and Olivia, Brendon and Brooke, Nicholas and Mckayla, and great-grandad to Taylor and April, McKenzie and Jaxx, Jordi and Quinn. A service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Friday, November 10 at 1.00pm, at the Kaitangata Community Centre, 16 Exmouth Street, Kaitangata. The service will be live-streamed, and the link is available on Leishman Funeral services website. Messages to 14B Lanark Street, Balclutha 9230. .

Dear Maureen and Family we were saddened to hear of Gary's passing . I haven't had contact with Gary in a lot of years but I still remember with much pleasure the times spent in Gary company .Gary introduced me to my first working experience ,playing rousey in the shearing sheds around Kai and that also gave me my first experience of having a pocket full of money. .Thankyou Gary ,those lessons you passed on to me in the sheds ie hard work gives you reward ,has stood well for me all my life .
I remember Gary as a lovely man with a ready smile ,an older cousin who laughed easily.
Our thoughts are with you all the this sad time. Condolences from all the Montgomery cousins in Blenheim .
