Gary SMALL Obituary

Died on Sunday, February 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Most dearly loved husband and best friend of Anne. Dedicated father to Rebecca, Amanda and stepson Tim. Adored Poppa of Hemi, Taine, Sol, Mana and Aviv. Loved brother of Darryl, and respected brother-in-law, cousin and uncle. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at the South Brighton Surf Life Saving Club, Marine Parade, on Friday, February 28 at 2.00pm.

I worked alongside Gary in the Ministry of Works for a number of years. Conversations on things going on in our lives - some serious - and plenty of in house jokes arising from work situations. I have fond memories of this time.

Thanks for the great times shared either boating and rafting up, also the caravan trips we shared around the South Island, Gary was a very genuine person taking people for who they were, he did a task thoroughly whether on the boat or at home his workmanship was very good, will be sadly missed, RIP Gaz
