Aroha and deepest sympathy to Garrys Family

December 5, 2014

I was shocked to read that Gary had died, so young. My thoughts are with you Sally and the children who he talked so much about when we played tennis on Saturday's for the Ohoka Presidents grade. He had so much energy and passion for life. I recall he was also a major figure in the implementation of the Swannaoa fair, which still rocks and brings in hundreds of people each year.
Helen Blake, Ohoka.

My heartfelt sympathy to family and friends who are mourning the loss of your loved one . When a loved one falls asleep in death, it leaves an immense void. May your love and memories as well as our hope of that Kingdom Jesus taught us to pray for bring you comfort at this most difficult time. Matthew 6:9-10

I also work in the area of road safety and although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Garry, over many years of exchanging banter, I felt that, on a professional level, we had become friends. I will miss the banter and the sound of his jovial voice. I will also miss his outstanding client service. My thoughts and 'Aroha' are with his family at this very sad time.

I work in the area of road safety for a local Council and like many other co-ordinators around the country was well served by Garry over many years as he sourced and dreamed up some wonderful ways for us to get our safety messages across. I alway found Garry to be the epitomie of a professional and I had always assumed he was part of a larger company with a team of helpers - his customer service was second to none and in hind site I don't know how he did it as a one man band. I will miss our regular phone conversations where we always started with a bit of a personal catch up before we got onto business - exchanged holiday stories etc. There were many phone conversations and I was lucky enough to meet him once at a canterbury road safety event I travelled to. I am truely saddened to hear of his premature passing and my thoughts are with family and close friends as you come to terms with your loss. Go well Superman!
