Passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family at Te Nikau Grey Hospital, Greymouth on August 28, 2025, aged 66. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Trish, much loved Pa and father-in-law of Gabe and Nicole, and Fan, loved Poppa of Levi, Netana, and Tyler, loved great Pop Pop of Ellie, loved son of the late Tiny and Diane, loved brother and brother-in-law of Lisa and the late Dave (Fat Boy), Joe and Dana, Joanne, Michael, Billy (deceased) and Chris, and the late Puru, Tony, and Peter, a loved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and mate of many. A Service to celebrate Gabe's life will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, 134 Tainui Street, Greymouth tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1.00pm, Gabe will then be laid to rest at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Gladstone.
