Frederick DAVIDSON Obituary

On October 8, 2023, suddenly and unexpectedly in Rarotonga, aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Lin, much loved step-dad of John and Ioana, Sarah and Scotty, Matt and Erin, Julia and Brendon, loved Pop of seven grandchildren, loved youngest son of the late Mona and Fred, loved brother, brother-in-law, and best friend of Yvonne and Neil, Ed, Bev and Roy, and a much loved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Wayne Davidson, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to NZ Heart Foundation would be appreciated, and may be made online at: heartfoundation.org.nz/donate. A Service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Tuesday, October 17, at 10.00am. Private cremation thereafter.

Wayne took me under his wing after I escaped redundancies in 1990 on the JT8D Final and QEC line teaching me a new skill to go with my service with Air NZ. We became good friends during my time in the Engine Shop and will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to Lin and family at this sad time. Kevin McCrea.
