JONES, Freda (nee
Knewstubb) - On February 14, 2014, peacefully at home, aged 86 years. Loved and treasured wife of the late Tim, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Nicky and Steve Murray, and Linda and the late Nigel Jones, adored "Granny J" of Bridget, Caitlin, and Hannah; and Jacob, and Tyler, much loved and respected Aunty Freda to her wider family, and a dear and loyal friend to so many people. Devoted golfer and life member of the Port Chalmers Golf Club. Special thanks to Dr Caroline MacKenzie, Nurse Maude, and the staff at Dunedin and Christchurch Hospitals for the wonderful care Freda received. A Memorial Service to celebrate Freda's life will be held at the Holy Trinity Church, Scotia Street, Port Chalmers, on Friday, February 21, at 2.00 p.m. A Celebration of Freda's life will also be held in Lincoln, Christchurch, at a later date.
