Freda BRIGHT Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Home on Monday, October 7, 2024; aged 96 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jim, cherished mother and mother-in-law of Anne and Bernard, Julia and James, Robert, and Vicki. Adored Grandma to Ruth and Tom, Kate and Steve, Emma and Joe, Andrew (deceased), Anna, Finn (deceased), Ethan, Jedd, Edward, Alex, and Grace. Grandma Freda to her great-grandchildren; George and Primrose (Brisbane), Henry and Louis (Brisbane), and Angus and Charlie (North Canterbury). Loved daughter of the late Lois and Fred Newman (England) and sister of Bett (deceased). Special thanks to the staff at Ngaio Marsh for their support, and care of Freda. A memorial service to celebrate Freda's life will be held in the Harewood Chapel, Wilkinsons Road, Harewood, Christchurch on Tuesday, October 29, at 1.00pm.

Please accept our deepest sympathy for your sad loss. I was thinking of Gilwell St the other day, and remembering our neighbours, and what good times we had in the "old" days. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
