Frank Nelson Obituary

NELSON _ Frank Theodore 1919 - 2006 Frank Theodore Nelson of Calgary, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 87 years. Frank was born in Frog Lake, Alberta on January 6, 1919. He graduated from Full Gospel Bible Institute in 1950 and spent many years pastoring in rural Alberta and Manitoba. Frank received his carpentry papers in the mid 1960's in Brandon, MB and enjoyed carpentry all his life. He moved to Calgary in 1980 to re-unite with old friends and family. Frank loved to play his violin and was deeply involved in volunteering for his church and politics. Frank is survived by his children and their spouses, Margie and Steve of Calgary, Lovell and Donna of Sylvan Lake, Wendell and Karen of Brandon, MB, Holly and Larry of Regina, SK, Hope and Tony, Lila and Scotty and Kelly and Wayne, all of Calgary; sixteen grandchildren, Jackie, Jazz, Tim, Cody, Nikki, Andrew, Krystel, Larissa, Terry, Heather, Dale, Karen, Kayleigh, Jolene, Nicole and Brandon; and one great-grandchild, Daphne. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Full Gospel Tabernacle (155 Falconridge Crescent N.E.) on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Monty Durand, Presider. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Sarcee Hospice for their wonderful care, understanding and kindness during Frank's final days. My Grandfather was an amazing person and I don't think that you could have ever met someone with so much heart and so much love for everything. He ment alot to all of us; we'll miss him dearly but always love him! Love you grandpa
