Frank and Rae were key members of the Presbyterian Church in Akaroa.
Rae would play the organ until arthritis made that difficult and they were both instrumental in getting the major renovations and improvements done to the Church and adjacent Church Hall, by their practical help and the raising of the funds required to make it all happen.
Frank after morning Church, would get the Sunday afternoon out on the water to enjoy his sailing.
Frank also played a big part in the Akaroa Pompallier Retirement Village.
A lovely caring couple who always made you feel special and played a big part and a very positive contribution to the Akaroa community in many ways. Frank and Rae were near neighbors to Mum (Heather) and Dad while they lived in William Street.

I had the privilege of working for Frank Dickson in the mid 1980´s at Trust Bank in Wellington. I had a very junior position there, having gone back to work after a marriage breakdown but he helped to restore my confidence by always treating me with respect and showing interest in my activities. A real gentleman at all times. My condolences to his family at this time but how proud they must be of their father and grandfather.

An honest, sincere, & caring man. A true leader of people and most definitely the right man in the right place at the right time for the CSB/Trust Bank.

If every manager/leader of people based their leadership on Frank Dickson they too would receive respect and admiration.
Such a genuine man, we all felt valued. I live in Australia and watched the service online. Please accept my sympathy. I especially felt sorry for his twin brother.

An inspiring man who built a very successful bank with his "Family". Frank was highly regarded as a leader both within CSB and in the wider community. He was the prime mover at a national level with the establishment of Trust Bank NZ. I was privileged to work closely with Frank as his PA for 4 years in the mid-1980´s. Frank was a modest person who was an example of ethics and leadership in business and the community has a lot to be thankful for. Rae´s support and contribution to Frank and the CSB should not be overlooked either.

Frank demonstrated empathy and understanding of human nature during his time as Trust Bank CEO. Beware of his red pen. Sympathy to his family.
