TEAGUE, Francis William:
The oldest taxi driver
in New Zealand
Dear Grandpop, I called you nearly every day until it became too hard. Age and sickness took away your strength and dignity, lastly even taking your ability to recognise me. It hurt so much, but now I know that you are finally at peace. I will always remember you as you were. You are the strongest and most giving person I have ever known. I am so proud of who you were, and thankful for what you have taught me. You are my Grandfather and my mentor. — Your loving Grandson Dr Nathan Watkins, Dr Penina Pereira, Mia, Tala, and Aaliyah.
