Francis BRENNAN Obituary

BRENNAN, Brother Francis
Joseph SM (Br Frank) - Member of the Society of Mary for 63 years, died peacefully and prayerfully under excellent care at Nurse Maude Hospital. Born in Dunedin in 1929, he was the third child of Patrick and Margaret Brennan of Waimate and loved by all his extended family. Respected throughout the Society of Mary, especially his Addington Marist Community, the Parishes of Sacred Heart and St Mary's Manchester Street, St Bede's College, Rochester Hall and The Mission Estate, Hawke's Bay. A Rosary Vigil will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Addington, on Sunday, July 28, at 5.00 p.m. and the Requiem Mass on Monday, July 29, at 12 noon. Thereafter, interment in the Marist plot, Waimairi Cemetery, Grahams Road.

BRENNAN, Rev Brother Francis Joseph S.M. — On July 24, 2013, at Nurse Maude Hospital, Christchurch; second eldest son of the late Patrick and Gertrude Brennan, respected and loved brother and brother-in-law of Patrick (deceased), and Noeline, the late Philip and Catherine, Desmond (deceased), and Rhonda, Richard and Noelene, Margaret and George (deceased), Vuleta, Maire and Tone (deceased), Coyte, Terence, Christina and Kevin (all deceased), a much-loved and special uncle to all his nieces and nephews. RIP. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given to Frank during his last few weeks by the Nurse Maude Hospital staff, the Marist Fathers, Sister Anne-Maree, his many visitors and a special thank you to Rhonda for her time and devotion.
