I was fortunate enough to work with Mary Ann at CDMS. She was a very kind person who loved the children. As a caring person would, she would sit down and speak with the students who needed that extra TLC. Many of the students commented that she was like their grandmother.
Prayers to all of her family members and friends.

I attended school with Mary Ann in Highspire and Steelton. Later we both lived near Ebenezer Road, Middletown and our children played together. As I remember one summer they build a treehouse.

My condolences to the family.

I will miss my sister and by friend. We have shared a lot together. You were always there for me. I never took our friendship for granted. You are resting in peace. You always accepted me like I was family and I so grateful for all we have shared. This is not goodbye, But I will see you later.

I knew Mary and her parents when I was a young child (5yrs-8yrs old). Mary and my aunt Janet Nickle (Clark) would play in her father's dollhouse and I would play in the below ground concrete pool. One day when they were picking on me and locked me in the dollhouse I threatened to break a window if they wouldn't let me out. Unfortunately I did break a window in the dollhouse. The girls were teenagers and my aunt took me to Hershey swimming pool with them.
Mary's father took me to a father and son dinner at the church they went to. I guess I should have said this took place on market Street in highspire. The kids in the neighborhood would play in the big yard between Mary's parents house and then Nigrew family that live next door. Occasionally Mary's father would invite me in the house for refreshments.
One day while riding my bike no that was my Aunt Joyce's bike which I took out for a ride and ran into the back of Mary's parents automobile.
I myself 77 years old. However when I saw Mary's death announcement it took me back to those Happy Days as a child.
