Frances ATKINSON Obituary

Born in Blackball on November 10, 1935, passed away peacefully at Te Nikau Grey Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on August 19, 2025, aged 89. Deeply loved wife of the late Bill, much loved mum and mother-in-law of Travis and Vikki, and Heath and Lillian, cherished Nanny of Harris and Lola, Jacob, Kaius, Lachlan, and Billy, loved daughter of the late Leslie and Margaret, loved sister and sister-in-law of Les and the late Anne-Marie, and the late Mari and Graham McInroe, loved sister-in-law of Ola and the late Jimmy Grant, Jill and Gerhard Fitzgerald, and the late Eddie Molloy, Dan and Lois Atkinson, and the late Lita and Lionel Solway, and Sonny and Helen Atkinson, a special life long friend of Michelle, and Kerryn, a loved cousin, aunt, great-aunt, and a friend of all. A Requiem Mass for Francie will be celebrated at St Patrick's Catholic Church, High Street, Greymouth, on Monday at 11.00am, followed by cremation on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.
