Ana passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, aged 72. Beloved wife of Vainu'ulelei Saumani for over 40 wonderful years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Lelei Nikolao and Kellie Misipati, and Amataga and Rasela Saufatu. Loved grandmother of Kōrinito Tauālio-Saumani, La'eiastasia, Léomani Malcolm and Fōaina- Lumepa Amāra. Thank you to all the health services whom provided quality care for Ana throughout the many years of Ana's ill-health journey: Dr Sophia Harris (retired) and Dr Fiona Kwang at Ferrymead Medical, Te Whatu Ora - Respiratory and Cardiology Department, Aspire Canterbury, Awanui Labs - Debbie and Tangata Atumotu Trust. Thank you to the St Micheal's Samoan Catholic community for their continuous prayers and support, the two families who travelled afar to be present on Ana's final day, friends and loved ones who came through to the family home during Ana's final week with us.
