Michael MACKLE Obituary

On Tuesday, August 12, 2025. After a courageous battle, Wally peacefully passed away at Kaikoura Rest Home, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Gillian. Loved and respected father of Raymond and Erica, awesome Grandad of Dominic. Loved step-father of Michael (dec), Carol and John, Chris and Will. Much loved Wally of Bridget, Thomas, Susan and Leigh. Loved son of the late Mick and Maureen Mackle, brother of Barney (dec), Genevieve (dec) and Noel Baxter, and much loved Uncle of Rebecca and Jamie. A loyal and true friend to many. Heartfelt thanks to all the caring doctors and staff at the Kaikoura Medical Centre and Rest Home. They were amazing, especially over the last five weeks. A funeral service for Wally will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grays Lane, Kaikoura, on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 1.00pm.
