Fiona SIMMONS Obituary
Fiona Anne (née Murdoch):
Peacefully passed away after a long battle with illness, on January 28, 2017, at her home in Canberra, Australia aged 56 years. Loved partner of (John) Bruce Bell, dearly loved and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Ben and Fiona, Tom and Lucy. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Gilbert and Sue Murdoch, Chris and Lee Murdoch. Treasured aunt of Nick Murdoch, Anna and Mike King, Amy Murdoch, Simon and Cherie Murdoch, Tim Murdoch and Tania, Georgie and Rob Cumming, Charlotte and Scott Williamson, Marcus and Amy Murdoch. The Funeral Service will be held in St Paul's Anglican Church, cnr Canberra Ave and Captain Cook Cres, Manuka, on Monday, February 6, 2017, commencing at 1.30pm.

Even though I have never met Bruce, Ben or Tom my thoughts are with you all and your families during this very sad time. Fi was a beautiful woman inside and out and I have lovely memories of her during our years at Rangi in the Boarding house. Much love to you all.

We will never forget our chance encounter on the Canadian Rocky Mountaineer train and your later visit to the San Francisco Bay Area. We treasure the memories of our time with you both. We still hold dear the Paua shell she gave to us. Her love for you, Bruce, and her sons was something we will always remember. She was a very special lady! Our deepest sympathy.

I have some very fond memories of Fi, she was so good to me at boarding school and our paths crossed again through yoga.
