Eva LAY Obituary

LAY, Eva:
Passed away peacefully in Christchurch surrounded by family on January 28, 2017, aged 78 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Wray; much loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Malcolm and Lilian, Kevin and Susan, Karina and Darryl, Brent and Rebecca; adored and treasured Ma Ma and Por Por of Gordon, and Zachary; Rebecca, Jeremy, and Michael; Kyle, and Nathan; Joshua, and Ethan.
Touched the lives of all who knew her. So dearly loved, so sadly missed
A heartfelt thanks to Dr Colin Ding, Dr Eugene Sia. Also to Dr Colin Chin and staff of Parkstone Care Home for all their care over the past few weeks. Special thanks to Dr Steve Gibbons, the Haematology Department, and the nursing staff of the Medical Day Unit at Christchurch Hospital, for their support and care over the past 15 months. Our appreciation goes to the Russley Village staff for their ongoing support throughout Wray and Eva's residence there. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Eva Lay, C/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. According to Eva's and family wishes, a private family service has been held.

Thinking of all the Lay Family. Eva was a dear family friend who always had a smile and kind words for everyone. We will always have wonderful memories of her kindness and friendship.

My thoughts are with the Lay family.
Mrs Lay was a lovely lady. I have fond memories of Mr & Mrs Lay when they owned the Greengrocer at the Bickerton Street shops. Mrs Lay was always pleasant.
