Eugene DEVEREUX Obituary
16.6.1951 – 17.4.2025
Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. A loving and devoted husband of Joy Devereux for more than 45 years, and a deeply cherished father of Janelle, Louise, and Jon-Paul. A proud and selfless grandparent to Joshua, son to Irene and Stan, and brother to seven siblings. A man who always put others before himself. Eugene will be remembered for his boundless curiosity, generous spirit, deep love for family, and for the way he made everyone feel seen and cared for. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Eugene Devereux, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A service to celebrate Euge's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, May 3, at 10.00am. The service will be followed by a burial at Yaldhurst Cemetery, before a drink to honour him at the Avonhead Tavern from 1.00pm
