Erin Frances Gill March 6, 1971 – April 4, 2025 West Nyack, NY
Erin Frances Gill, 54, of West Nyack, passed away on April 4, 2025, at Nyack Hospital following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments.
Born on March 6, 1971, in Manhattan, New York, Erin grew up in a warm, loving family and remained deeply connected to her Pearl River community throughout her life. She attended St. Margaret's Elementary School and graduated from Albertus Magnus High School. Erin earned her degree in Elementary Education from Pace University and went on to complete a dual Master's Degree in Special Education and Reading.
Erin was a devoted special education teacher who had been with HTA since 2011. Her compassion and kindness left a lasting impact not only on the children and families she supported, but also on anyone who had the privilege of working alongside her. Most recently, she joined the staff at Starting Place in September 2024, continuing her work with young children in a nurturing and supportive environment. She found her true calling in this field, where her warmth, patience, and dedication made a meaningful difference in countless lives.
Erin was known for her great sense of style, her spunky attitude, and her sassy sense of humor. She had a way of lighting up every room she walked into, always ready with a warm smile and a perfectly timed remark. Her vibrant personality, genuine kindness, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Her greatest joy in life was her beloved daughter, Chloe Gill, with whom she shared a deep and unbreakable bond. Erin is also survived by Chloe's father, Gavin Gill. She was a cherished aunt to her nephews Aidan and Colin, and her beloved niece Megan Gleeson, showering them with love, encouragement, and lots of laughter. Erin is also survived by her loving parents, Rosaleen and Frank "Jerry" Keneally; her sister, Carrie Gleeson, and her husband Brian; her brother, Jerod; and many dear cousins who brought joy and connection to her life.
Erin will be remembered for her kind heart, bright spirit, and the love she shared so generously with her family, friends, students, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of warmth, humor, and devotion will live on in all the lives she touched.
