Eric JACOMB Obituary
On January 2, 2016, as a result of a tragic accident in the mountains, doing what he loved, but taken too soon, aged 54 years. Dearly loved partner of Janet Girvan, beloved father of Tim, Sam, and Kirsty, loved little brother of Chris, and Pam. Messages may also be left on Eric's tributes page at www.tributes.co.nz In lieu of flowers, donations to Search and Rescue NZ would be appreciated, and may be made at the service. A Celebration of Eric's life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Ave, Rangiora, This Day (Thursday), at 2.00pm.

Dearest Janet,Tim Kirsty and Sam,
Our condolences go out to you for the(way to early) loss of your beloved sole-mate and father.We will always have fond memories of Eric's sense of humour and love of life,especially his positive, and competitive spirit on the side of the basketball court,he was a real family man and he will be deeply missed by many. Dear Janet, Tim, Sam and Kirsty,
I have just read your sad, sad news and am finding it so hard to believe. Rob and I are travelling in the UK and are so sorry that we have not been able to see you or to attend Eric's funeral.
My heart goes out to you all. Eric was a very special man with a very special family.

We are all so sorry to hear of the sad loss of Eric. We have such happy memories of our visit with you back in 1992. You all made us so welcome. We had fun with Eric trekking around the farm. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Our love Anne Mick and all the family from England. XX

So sorry for you all. As another family who love the 'great outdoors' we feel we are kindred spirits. A jovial meeting with Eric at Broken River ski-field last year stands out. He was a lovely warm guy. Thinking of you-Lynne and Steve John and family
