Eric JACK Obituary

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Eric on March 2, 2024, surrounded by family at Christchurch Hospital, after a very short illness, in his 92nd year. Loved husband of the late Lorna, deeply loved father and father-in-law of David and Tuihana, Andrew (deceased), and Richard and Anna, adored grandfather to Francesca, and Harry, much-loved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Messages may be addressed to 'The family of the late Eric Jack, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545'. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cholmondeley Children's Centre would be appreciated and may be made directly to 03 0162 0158 425 00 (reference EA Jack). A funeral service to celebrate Eric's life will be held at Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Friday, March 8, at 2.00pm. The art you wanted to me have...
You are not happy about that, but I am OK with that..
Your Will had it in writing..
We had much more than art..
They can´t take that away from us....

Eric had a very strong connection with my parents..Ken and Bet Nogat..
Dad´s mum was a strong part of the Jack family..Eric became a friend of my family..
And enjoyed coming to Warkworth and Ruakaka to stay with Keith and myself.
We flew down to join his 80th at the club..and my friend and I stayed with him at a later date..great fun..dinner with Richard and family..intro to the Club lunch..and lots of laughs..
Eric..we arranged to come down to see you..you were so excited..
But you and yout body were too tired to wait..
We went to your funeral instead of lunch
Always with the love we shared.Miss you

Eric was a person who would always bring laughter to a group. He was a wonderful friend and Rotarian. We all loved him and will miss him always xxx
