Dearly loved wife of the late Brian, mother and mother-in-law of Craig and Helen (Christchurch), and Tracey and Craig (Whitemans Valley), and loving and proud grandmother to Jackson, Hunter, George and Anna, and Fraser and Kristin. Special Kiwi grandmother to Emma. Thanks to all the incredibly dedicated staff at St John's and Oamaru Hospital. At Ellen's request, a private family service has been held in Oamaru. Sorry to learn of Ellen's death. She was a very kind neighbour to my parents, and very supportive of my Dad after my mother passed away a couple of years ago. A very stoic lady, tough enough to deal with a fractured pelvis while still insisting on remaining independent a couple of Christmases ago. She will be sadly missed in the neighbourhood
